i always want to create distinctive designs and illustrations to feature a character’s unique needs and personality. my favorite part of the design process is research and reference-gathering.
some work in this section is inspired by bioware’s dragon age series, volition’s saint’s row, and supergiant games’s pyre.
my goal with portraiture is always to capture a depth and inner life in a character with subtle facial expressions, appealing palates, and often dramatic lighting choices.
during my private studies i maintain a focus on motion and geometry to strive toward a streamlined, lively effect in my work.
